Fabulous Fierce & Sacred 2025
Bring your whole glamorous self to Philadelphia May 2nd to 4th, 2025 for the gayest Anabaptist gathering of the year! Queer and trans joy will ring out in a weekend rooted in the sacred work of liberation from ableism, white supremacy, cis-heteropatriarchy, and capitalism. Join us for worship, fellowship, learning, and community hosted by queer-affirming Mennonite and Brethren churches in the Philly area. People of all ages, including teens and younger kids, are welcome!
FFS will begin with dinner at 6:00 PM on Friday 5/2 and end around 1:00 PM following worship and brunch on Sunday 5/4. Attendees agree to hold these Shared Commitments during the retreat.

Lodging for the retreat will be coordinated through homestays with members of host congregations, so please indicate if you will need a homestay or if you can find your own accommodations. The retreat will take place at West Philadelphia Mennonite Fellowship and Germantown Mennonite Church, cohosted with Ambler Church of the Brethren.

The retreat is open to all regardless of ability to pay. We encourage all who can to make a donation to the Brethren Mennonite Council for LGBT Interests (BMC), our financial host for the event. Your contribution helps cover the cost of honoraria for workshop leaders, food, worship supplies, and the Solidarity Fund which will reimburse travel costs for those who need it. We anticipate the cost of the retreat to be roughly $50/person. If you are 17 or under, please register with an adult sponsor.

Our time together will include worship, workshops, and affinity groups. If you have a proposal for a workshop or affinity group, please reach out to mburkholder@hyattsvillemennonite.org. If you're interested in helping lead worship, reach out to debbie@edmontonfirst.mcab.ca. We especially encourage BIPOC, trans, and disabled people to bring your wisdom and leadership. We are still determining honoraria amounts for workshop leading and preaching.

We look forward to joyful celebration and connection with you! Please reach out to jay@germantownmennonite.org with any questions!
